A note before you write

Three people read every letter. They reply within two working days.

The Flapierre concierge is not a ticket queue. Inês, Tiago, and Sofia sit eighteen paces from the cutting bench and share a single inbox — [email protected]. Every message is opened by hand, considered for as long as the question deserves, and answered in the voice of the atelier rather than the voice of a brand manual.

If your enquiry concerns a piece you already own, a commission you would like to begin, a wholesale conversation, or an editorial request, the four desks below will guide you to the right person. If you are unsure where you fit, simply write — we will route it.

— Inês Marques, Head of Concierge

  1. 01 — Bespoke Commissions

A piece built to one drawing.

For private commissions — a bag cut to a sketch, a journal bound in a specific hide, a leather accessory made to a measurement. Minimum commission value €1,800; lead time between 14 and 22 weeks from approved pattern.

Questions the concierge answers most often

A few notes before you write.

How long does a restoration take, end to end?
A typical repair — relining, edge restoration, hardware replacement — is quoted within 10 working days and completed within 6 to 10 weeks once approved. Complex structural work can run to 14 weeks. We never subcontract restoration; the piece stays in Porto.
Is there a minimum order for a bespoke commission?
Yes — €1,800, which covers a minimum of fourteen hours of bench time. Most bespoke pieces fall between €2,400 and €6,500. We do not accept commissions below the threshold because we cannot guarantee the hand-finishing time the atelier is known for.
What are your wholesale lead times?
Twelve to sixteen weeks from confirmed order to delivery, depending on the piece. We release wholesale stock four times a year — January, April, July, and October — and cap each release at 200 pieces per design to protect the small-batch nature of the work.
Can international clients visit the Porto atelier?
Yes — by appointment, twelve visitor slots per month, never more. Visits last approximately ninety minutes and include a walk of the cutting bench, the saddle-stitching room, and the burnishing station. To request a slot, write to [email protected] with your preferred month.

A longer set of notes — on gift concierge tiers, monogramming, and what to do if a piece arrives less than perfect — lives in the Atelier chapter.
